Caron Johnson Reflexology in Bishop's Stortford

Frequently Asked Questions

How much is a treatment?

Your first treatment will be £37. Follow up treatments for 45mins to 1 hour will also be £37. Follow up treatments for 30 minutes are £27.
If you introduce a new client to me you receive a £5 discount on one treatment as does the new client.

If you are a regular customer I have a loyalty scheme- every 6th treatment, if taken within a period of 12 months, will be at £27 for 45-1 hour treatment and £17 for a 30 minute session.

Is the treatment suitable for everyone?

As natural therapies that encourage the body to release tension, and function optimally they are safe for most people, from young children to the elderly.

However, there are some conditions that it is advisable to seek advice from your GP first. There are also some situations in which I am not able to treat you. I will always check before treating you that you are suitable for the therapy, but in brief circumstances in which I would not be able to treat you are:

During your first trimester of pregnancy
During cancer treatment i.e. radiotherapy or chemotherapy
While you have a contagious disease or fever
Have deep vein thrombosis (DVT)
Have haemophilia
Have athletes foot (Reflexology only)
Have had a recent break or fracture to any of the bones in the area I will be working on.
If you have undiagnosed pain, lumps or swellings.

What should I wear?

Something comfortable - I will need access to your feet and ankles for Reflexology and a non stretch top is advisable for Indian Head Massage. Jewellery will need to be removed.

Are there any side effects to the treatment?

How you feel during and after a treatment is very individual. Some people do feel tired so if it is your first treatment I would recommend planning it so that you can take it easy afterwards. Arriving to your appointment hydrated and ensuring you keep hydrated after a treatment is advisable, as is avoiding alcohol before and after treatment.
